Childcare Provider Requirements
Are you passionate about nurturing and enriching the lives of children? At Vero Beach Nannies, we are always on the lookout for dedicated, loving, and experienced individuals to join our community of exceptional childcare providers. Here's what we are looking for:
Passion for Childcare: You should have a genuine love for working with children and a strong desire to make a positive impact on their well-being, growth, and development.
Professional Experience: We ask that you have at least two years of professional childcare experience. This experience can come from various roles such as a nanny, babysitter, mother’s helper, teacher, preschool teacher, daycare worker, or even a volunteer role where you have actively engaged with children.
References: You should be able to provide at least 3-4 childcare references who can vouch for your experience and abilities in working with children. These references are crucial for us to verify your previous roles and your suitability for the families we serve.
Commitment to Engagement and Interaction: We value nannies who are engaging, interactive, and proactive in their approach. You should be someone who enjoys planning activities, reading stories, playing games, and truly being involved in the child’s daily life.
Professional and Loving Attitude: A professional demeanor combined with a warm, loving approach to childcare is essential. You should be attentive to the needs of the children and families, maintaining a high standard of care and communication.
Focus on Safety: Being safety-conscious is non-negotiable. You must prioritize the safety and well-being of the children at all times, whether at home or on outings.
Responsibility and Reliability: We seek childcare providers who are responsible and reliable, ensuring that families can count on you for consistent and dependable care.
Long-Term Commitment: Most of our positions require at least a one-year commitment. Many of our families and childcare providers build long-term relationships that last for several years. We believe in creating stable and enduring connections.
Transportation: Having your own vehicle and being willing to use it to transport children to and from activities is a must. Families will reimburse gas mileage at the standard IRS rate. Vero Beach Nannies will also provide guidance about automobile insurance for both families and childcare providers.
CPR Certification: You should be CPR certified or willing to become certified. This is essential to ensure you can handle any emergencies that may arise.
Background Checks: You must be willing to undergo a comprehensive criminal background check and DMV report. This step is crucial to maintaining the trust and safety within our community.
Non-Smoker: We require that all our childcare providers be non-smokers to ensure a healthy environment for the children.
