Where Sunshine and Smiles meet Concierge Childcare on the Treasure Coast
Who Are Our Childcare Providers?
At Vero Beach Nannies, we pride ourselves on nurturing long-term relationships with our childcare providers and finding the perfect match for your family. Our commitment to quality childcare is reflected in the way we select and retain our providers.
Diverse and Experienced: We work with a diverse group of childcare providers ranging from 18 to 70 years old, though most are in their late 20s and 30s. They bring significant formal or informal experience in childcare, whether through previous nanny positions, child-related education, or other roles involving children.
Highly Educated and Skilled: Many of our childcare providers have college degrees or have undergone specialized training in child development, early childhood education, or related fields. This educational background equips them with the knowledge and skills to provide high-quality care.
Local and Knowledgeable: Almost all of our childcare providers are from the Indian River County area, familiar with local communities, and possess a deep understanding of the region. This local insight is invaluable for families seeking a caregiver who knows the area well.
Reliable and Ready: All our childcare providers have their own vehicles and valid driver's licenses, allowing them to transport children safely. They are committed to at least a one-year engagement, ensuring stability and continuity for your family.
Passionate About Children: Above all, our childcare providers share a genuine love and interest in caring for children. They are dedicated to fostering a nurturing, safe, and engaging environment for the children in their care.
At Vero Beach Nannies, we understand the importance of choosing the right caregiver for your child. We appreciate your consideration of Vero Beach Nannies among your childcare options. Our meticulous and personalized process ensures that we match families with nannies who meet their specific needs and expectations.
1. Online Application: Start by completing our detailed online family application, where you can outline your family dynamics, schedule, childcare requirements, and desired childcare provider qualities. Expect a response from our office promptly upon submission.
2. In-Home or Phone Interview: A placement specialist will schedule an in-person or phone interview at your convenience. This discussion allows us to gain deeper insights into your family’s unique needs and preferences, helping us identify the ideal candidate qualities.
3. Candidate Review: Following the interview, you will receive profiles of prospective candidates tailored to your requirements. All candidates are required to fill out a comprehensive ten-page application form. This includes providing references, health history, and a recent photograph, offering a thorough overview of their qualifications and background. Candidates also submit a detailed autobiographical letter, highlighting their personal background, experiences in childcare, and career goals. These profiles, delivered as detailed PDF files via email, provide comprehensive information—typically spanning 20-40 pages—about each childcare providers background, experience, qualifications, driving record, etc. We send profiles on a regular basis until the position is filled, ensuring families receive quality matches.
4. Candidate Interviews: We will arrange interviews with childcare providers and you, whose profiles align with your preferences. We provide sample interview questions to assist you in assessing compatibility and skills.
5. Job Offer and Contract: Once you’ve identified your preferred childcare provider, Vero Beach Nannies assists in finalizing the offer and contract. We provide a sample contract outlining commitments, responsibilities, and expectations for both parties. After the childcare provider accepts the position, we prepare a comprehensive welcome packet including tax information, and guidelines. The placement fee is collected upon acceptance of the contract by both parties.
High Standards: We have a stringent selection process and only place nannies who meet our high standards. We assess candidates based on their completed applications, responses to interview questions, quality of references, and their knowledge of child development.
We reject about 75% of applicants who do not meet our criteria. We only place childcare providers who we would trust to take care of our own children, ensuring that your family receives the best care possible.
